Other Ways to Give
The best way to help out is to give your time on Monday evenings. Please feel free to come by shortly before 4:30 and introduce yourself to the lead teacher of the evening (See the Tutoring Schedule to find out who that is) and be ready to jump in head first with the children or the parents. You don't have to have a teaching creditial to volunteer, we need all kinds of hands.
We are currently asking for donations of granola bars for snacks. Bring them with you on Monday's or drop them off at the Ibarra Elementary school office with labeled (Refugee Tutoring c/o Melissa Phillips).
Tutor with Friends!
We're looking for groups of 4-6 people to commit to coming the same Monday each month. Do you have a community group, co-workers, friends, or any other group of people you'd like to come to tutoring with and commit to one Monday?
Our Volunteer Coorindator (Sarah Carter) is creating a calendar for groups coming to tutoring each Monday. Please email her your group's name, and which Monday of the month you'd like to commit to.
